 There's a new discussion group here on DerbyFolk for all performers. Singers, Musicians, Groups - tell us about your gigs, find venues and other performers, ask questions about songs and tunes, etc.

| The New Derby Folk Web Site |
We’ve looked closely at the way the Derby Folk Forum web site was being used and made some changes.
The web site looks very different and is no longer based upon a series of forums although there are discussion forums for dance, song and music. There are new facilities for news which appears on the front page, a link section for venues, clubs, sessions and other web sites, a photo gallery and an instant messaging facility, the “Shoutbox”, for on-line chat.
The calendar now has the facility for adding repeated events making it much easier to maintain.
All entries on the site are now made by submitting an event, a news item, a link, a photo or an article. An administrator will review the submission and publish it. This will prevent some of the problem we’ve been having with bogus posting.
Most of the information from the old site has been transferred but it has not been possible to transfer user information. Please register as a member to have all the facilities to post news, articles, events and photos. This transfer process means that all current entries are owned by the administrator. If you’d like to change one of your entries please re-publish it in your own name and let the administrator know by Private Message or email.
